i got my hair cut. now, i know achieving this goal
(#11: donate my hair to locks of love once it gets long enough) necessitates me growing my hair, so cutting it seems counter productive, but becky, my stylist at
innu salon, promised my hair would grow faster and better if i came in to get it trimmed every once and while. i'm the type of girl who gets a hair cut twice a year at best, so deciding to go in for the kill was a big deal. i don't know if salons just tell you that so you'll come back more (which obviously means more money) or if getting a hair cut more often really is better for growing hair, but all i know is, my hair feels more healthy than it has in years, so i'm glad i did it. it's still a bit shorter than i was preparing myself for, but i'm getting used to it. makes post-shower hair doing much quicker, too, which is always a plus. so, here's to no more split ends and growing out those ten inches to donate!

and, on a totally unrelated note, my half birthday was february 1st, and jj got me flowers. isn't he the sweetest? i know it seems silly to know when your half birthday is, let alone celebrate it, but that's what i do at school since i have a summer birthday. we always celebrate each other's birthdays on our third grade team, and parents and students always come together to do something for the teacher on her birthday, only i never get anything since my birthday's in august. but, this year, my coworker talked to one of the parents and she organized something without me knowing, and it was a really nice surprise. it made for a very nice monday.
this week is going to be nuts, but it's going to end with #31: visit three new cities in texas (ideas: shiner, marfa, kermit, winnie, houston) and #43: take a vacation with my boyfriend. more on that later. :D
