i ended up with one of these today:
my mom and aunts bought it for my grandmother, but it ended up being a bit too much for her to handle, so i offered to buy it from them so that way they wouldn't have to be stuck with it (they each already have one). i didn't even think i wanted one, but now that i'm playing with it, i mean it is fun. i'm also starting to think of ways i can use it in my classroom. i have something called an elmo in my room, which replaced my overhead projector. so, if i'm able to connect to my school's wifi, i should be able to just slide this under the camera and project what i've pulled up online or on an app to my class. i used to have to hook up a laptop to the projector to show things, but it was always a pain in the ass to hook up, and the laptop screen always got in someone's way of viewing. this, i hope, will be much easier, and maybe they'll think this new technology is cool and will want to pay attention. :D

you will LOVE it. i came into my ipad in much the same way and didn't think i had much use for it. man was i wrong. now eli keeps trying to steal it.
