thoughts for a wednesday

i love goat cheese. whenever i say i love something that isn't human, i always hear pee wee herman's voice in my head saying, "if you love it so much, why don't you marry it?"

well, i would definitely marry goat cheese.

my sister comes home in just a few weeks. i absolutely cannot freaking wait! it's been cool living vicariously through her, being crazy jealous of all the fun she's been having (and to think of how much goat cheese she has eaten), but i'm ready for her to be home. my momma, too, but she's dipping the ladel with kamel and her job, so it'll be awhile for her.

i've had a salad for lunch every day this week (with goat cheese, duh) and this weekend i made a wonderful little crunchy topping for my salads with sliced almonds, ramen, and sunflower seeds. easiest thing to make ever, and it gives a salad a nice little something something. another thing i've found is super easy to make? my own ranch dressing. i've made mine jalapeno ranch, and i mean i can't get enough of it. at our party this weekend it made it's debut as a dip instead of a dressing, and that is the reason why i singlehandedly ate a half a bag of ruffles all. by. my. self. i know, gross. but, it was my dinner. that and meredith's guacamole. that woman knows her way around an avocado.

i have to spend all day inside. this makes me :(

and now it's time to pick up the children from lunch. day's almost over. then green pastures for dinner for arw. every time i go there, i am always overcome with a desperate need to catch a peacock. depending on how much wine i drink, i may or may not try to turn that dream into a reality tonight. i'll keep you posted.
